Distillation Masterclass with Barış Mercan

Distillation Masterclass with Barış Mercan

Are you ready to explore an ancient craft that spans from selecting grains to the intricacies of copper stills, from the patient maturation in oak barrels to the multi-layered aroma profiles in the glass?

The Distillation Masterclass with Barış Mercan, held at USLA Kanyon Campus, is designed for gastronomy enthusiasts and industry professionals who want to deeply understand the geographical heritage behind production culture, the character of raw materials, and sensory dynamics. Under the guidance of researcher and author Barış Mercan, a comprehensive content is covered, ranging from the balance of fermentation to the impact of still geometry on character, and from the aromatic components of oak species to the production traditions of different geographies.

We welcome everyone who wants to enrich their scent and taste memory, accurately analyze aromatic layers, read finish notes, and experience this rooted production philosophy with a conscious sensory approach.
