A New Hope Kitchen in USLA's 15th Year

A New Hope Kitchen in USLA's 15th Year

As USLA bids farewell to the 42nd term graduates into the gastronomy sector in its 15th year, the first graduates of the Hope Kitchen Project, brought to life to honor the memory of Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, also received their diplomas.

For 15 years, USLA has been providing qualified professionals to the gastronomy sector, and during the 42nd graduation ceremony, it brought its new graduates together with the industry.

One of the most special moments of the ceremony was the diploma ceremony for the first graduates of the Hope Kitchen Project, brought to life to honor the memory of Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi.

In the project, which involved 13 young people from Istanbul Child Protection Houses, 32 volunteer chefs came together with the youths over three months. The training process included not only professional cooking techniques but also topics such as kitchen discipline, teamwork, and professional responsibility, aiming to provide the youths with a strong professional foundation to carve their own paths in the gastronomy sector.

The Hope Kitchen was implemented as a long-term social responsibility model that demonstrates that gastronomy education is not just about transferring technical knowledge; with the right education, experience, and guidance, it can open a new door to the future for young people.

A New Step Towards International Standards in Gastronomy Education

Another significant development in USLA's 15th year was the new step taken to strengthen international standards in professional training programs.

USLA's Professional Cooking and Professional Pastry and Bread Making programs have been included in the certification process of the world's leading gastronomy education institution, Basque Culinary Center.

The BCC Certified Programme encompasses the evaluation of the educational content, quality standards, and academic approach of the relevant programs in line with international criteria.

USLA continues to invest in the future of gastronomy education by constantly aligning its 15 years of educational experience with the changing needs of the industry, international quality standards, and real working life.

  1. The new journeys that began with the graduates of the term and the first graduates of the Hope Kitchen constitute an important part of USLA's approach, which views education not only as a means of gaining a profession but also as a structure that creates new opportunities.
